Loving Tom Petty
So, many of you might agree with me that Tom Petty Rocks. I am not sure why this has happened but I have had a resurgence of my obsession with this band. I always thought they were awesome, I know all their songs (who doesn’t), but lately I can’t seem to get enough.
Currently my ultimate favorite that I have on repeat is “Don’t Come Around Here No More”. I honestly love this song right now. It just makes me want to dance with my eyes closed. This also may have to do with the fact that one of my favorite things in the store right now is my Tom Petty onesie for baby girls. It just makes me want to listen to their greatest hits album (which I am doing as I am writing this).

My Best Friend Had a Boy!
Well, from the title you know what I am about to write about…my best friend gave birth to a beautiful baby boy this morning. I haven’t spoken to her on the phone yet, but I am dying to see how she feels, I am sure she’s exhausted! His name is Mason and he was 9lbs 6 ounces and he was 6 days late. Mason was comfy!
I am so happy for her and her new family. I already sent her basically half my store but I have to send her more, I mean, she just had a baby and that surely deserves presents! I am thinking a cute total preppy outfit from Mayoral. I am talking collared shirt, sweater vest, the whole nine yards.
He is going to be the best dressed baby if I have anything to do with it! Now that I am writing this I think he needs a rocker onesie too. I am thinking he needs the Elvis Has Left the building onesie from Rowdy Sprout.
I just got a whole bunch of Rowdy Sprout rocker onesies and they are so awesome. What else doesn’t she have…board shorts.
Ok now I am done because she will get mad at me.
My other bestie just found out she is pregnant, we have a while until I can start showering her with gifts, I just hope this one’s a girl…

New! Munster Kids for Spring
It has always been easier and more fun to shop for girls. The options for dresses seem endless. When it comes time to get your little man something, the options don’t seem so endless, they seem rather sparse. Munster Kids has solved that problem.
Based out of Vietnam, Munster Kids is originally from Sydney Australia. The designers are a husband and wife couple and they love bringing their Australian style to their line. Australia has and is becoming a very large presence in the fashion world being the birth place of many current trends. Munster Kids Spring 2011 line is right up there with some of the trendiest.
Their use of prints and bold pairing of color makes this line amazing. The attention to detail goes down the every last button and enclosure. The goo board shorts are just some of these great spring styles.
Check out this purple tee with sneaker graphic. Pair this tee with the distressed jean short and your little man is sure to be one of the trendiest and best dressed in the playground.
Munster Kids garments aren’t cheap but their quality is wonderful. The cotton they use for their garments is super soft and the shorts are sure to withstand some of the roughest playground romps.

It is the time of the year in retail when we start getting ready to receive the Spring merchandise. That also means its the time of the year for SALES! We need to get the Fall/Winter merchandise outta here so we can make room for the fabulous new Spring clothes that help us forget how cold we are.
Check out this Appaman pink puffy jacket. There is nothing wrong with buying for next Fall even if we don’t want to think about the cold.

Music class with Kourtney Kardashian and Mason
We are thrilled to have another fashionable mom, Kourtney Kardashian, dressing up Mason. Mason is wearing an Acoustic jacket, Appaman shirt, H&M pants, Me-in-Mind socks and Diesel hat. Kourtney and Mason go out on. They were spotted one afternoon headed towards music class and coming from Whole Foods.
With it being fall, Kourtney decided to keep Mason warm with some great style from a few designers that you can get your child here at Sophi Blu. Check out the Appaman and Acoustic lines.

Mend Maddie’s Heart
While I was working at my store in Northport, NY a young girl came in asking me if I would like to purchase some handmade bows. She then went on to explain that all the proceeds from the bows are going towards this fund for this little girl named Maddie who was born with half a heart. That’s right, she was born with only the left half of her heart. She is now 5 months old and is about to have her 3rd open heart surgery. These babies never live to see their 1st birthday and the even bigger tragedy is these families spend so much on medical bills that when the baby passes away, they cannot afford a funeral. So I bought about $100’s worth of bows and I don’t even have children!
This story broke my heart and I felt the best thing for me to do to help (besides purchasing the bows!) is to let you all know about it. I will also be selling the bows in my store and all the proceeds will go towards the foundation they have set up for little Maddie.
